CTG Offers Free Training at OB '07

Chelsea Technologies Group (CTG) will provide in-classroom and on-water demonstrations of its prod- ucts at Ocean Business 2007, sched- uled for March 27-29 at the National

Oceanography Center,

Southampton. CTG will be holding three one-hour classroom sessions as follows: • Towed Undulating Vehicles, with a practical emphasis on deployment and operation of AQUAshuttle, Nu- shuttle and SeaSoar towed vehicles; AquaLine FerryBox, an autonomous environmental measure- ment system designed for use on commercial ferries. The classroom session will focus on setting up and operation; Fast Repetition Rate Fluorimeter (FASTtracka II), an introduction to the impressive performance and applications of the new Fastracka instrument.

Divex Asia Pacific Wins

Divex Asia Pacific has won new international contracts to supply deep saturation diving systems and re- breather technology to three coun- tries. Divex has begun work on a nine-man saturation diving system for Sea Mec in India, as well as a 12- man saturation diving system for Geo

Subsea in Singapore. It is also refur- bishing a pressure vessel to construct a decompression chamber for

Technip Offshore in Scotland.

The company has also built 80 re- breathers for the Australian Defense forces, and is currently designing a hyperbaric reception facility for Geo

Subsea.

The Technip-Subsea 7 Joint

Venture won a contract by New

Zealand Overseas Petroleum Limited for the Tui Area development, located approximately 30 miles off the

Taranaki coastline, New Zealand, in a water depth of 125 m. The joint ven- ture contract, valued around $30 mil- lion, includes the project manage- ment, engineering, transportation, installation and pre-commissioning of approximately: 15 km of flexible flowlines, flexible risers and associat- ed mid water arch systems; 15 km of coiled tubing gas lift pipeline, spool- pieces, diverless connectors; and 15 kilometers of electro hydraulic umbil- icals and various associated compo- nents. The contract will be executed by the joint venture teams based in

Singapore and Perth, Australia and

Technip's operations and engineering center in Houston, Texas. The flexi- ble flowlines and risers will be fabri- cated by Flexi France, one of

Technip's flexible pipe plants located in Le Trait, France, under a separate supply contract.
